Guest Schedule

Do you love to cook? Do you have a special skill or recipe you'd like to share with the class? Please come visit. We meet Tuesdays, 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm through January. See schedule below for openings, and contact me if you want to make some fun happen for these kids!

October 8—Phyllis Rosen, local caterer, kosher food expert, cooking instructor, and mom of twin tweens, gives us an egg demo

October 29—Rob Gardiner, our swing-dancin' Queen Anne neighbor will show us how to make ice cream.

November 5—Nina Laden, author/illustrator, urban farmer, and food ninja will teach us how to whip up some Flourless Chocolate Raspberry Cakes . Then Lauren Adler, owner of Chocolopolis, will give us the delicious and interesting lowdown on the business, art, and science of chocolate.

November 12—Kristin Hyde from Beecher's Flagship Foundation Pure Food Kids program will show us how to become food detectives, make vegetarian chili, and if time permits, granola.

November 19—Kim O'Donnell, professional chef, food journalist, and cookbook author

November 26—No class (Thanksgiving break)

December 3—Lesa Sullivan-Abajian, personal chef and dynamo instructor of Lesa Cooks 

December 12—Barb Burrill, Urban Orchard Coordinator at City Fruit

December 17—Julie plays "stump the student" with mystery ingredients

January 7—Our very own Mary Chapman, class volunteer, McClure parent, and fabulous home cook

January 14—Greg Johnson, professional chef and cooking instructor

January 21—Kim Cozzetto Maynard, chef and cooking instructor, The Pantry

January 28—Final class—it's a party!
